Our official paint scheme guidelines and policy. Please review this document regarding any livery discussions.

Joseph Wright Broadcasting Paint Policy

Streams at Joseph Wright Broadcasting are designed to be engaged with everyone - adults, families and children. Therefore, our paint policy ensures that all liveries are appropriate for broadcast.​ Repeated breaking of these policies will result in the driver being blacklisted on our paint system, and they will run a default iRacing paint for all future races.

Permitted with Limitations

Please read these carefully. Liveries that do not follow these rules will be removed immediately and the paint scheme will be reverted to default.

Alcohol.

  • In accordance with the Adverstising Standards Authority, the below rules are stated and must be adhered to.​

  • If a driver is under the age of 18, they cannot use an alcoholic sponsor on their paint.

  • Claims that alchol can enhance physical performance, can solve problems, or increase social/sexual popularity is prohibitted.

  • Encouraging people to drink irresponsibily is prohibited.

  • Showing individuals behaving irresponsibily or illegally is prohibited.

  • Promoting drinking and driving is prohibitted.

  • Aiming sponsorship or advertisement of alcohol at children or young people under the age of 18 is prohibited.

  • Paint schemes that use alcholic beverages are allowed as long as they follow all rules stated here.

 

Prohibited (Not Immediately Actionable)

These will be left on broadcast on the event it is noticed. However, after a warning is issued, if the prohibited content remains, the livery will be removed and the paint scheme will be reverted to default.

Questionable Content.

  • References to adult content, such as mentioning of genitalia is prohibited.

  • Explicit foul language, even using asteriks (*) to censor part of the word is prohibited. Using asteriks (*) to censor a whole word is allowed. (Not allowed: "Fuck You", "F*ck You", etc.) (Allowed: "**** You"). Completely covering up a word (such as with a black bar) is also allowed. (e.g Fuck You).

Prohibited

These will be removed immediately and the paint scheme will be reverted to default.

NSFW Content.

  • References to adult websites is prohibited. This also includes faux/parody websites such as CornHub.

  • Promoting engagement with adult content is highly prohibited.

  • Nudity is prohibited (as on iRacing and Trading Paints), even if censored.

Tobacco Sponsors.

  • In accordance with Tobacco Advertising and Promotion Act 2002 in the UK, displaying logos that promote Tobacco or Cigarette products will be removed.

​

Politics.

  • Paint schemes with political statements, parties, politicies or otherwise are prohibited.

  • Paint schemes that display a nation's flag or other national symbols are acceptable, provided no political statement or figure is attached to them.

​

Gambling.

  • Promoting or advertising gambling or gambling-style organisations is prohibited.

  • Promoting of loot-boxes or other gambling-style systems is prohibited.

We reserve the right to adapt our policy at any time. If the policy change has a direct impact on specific leagues, such as a rule change made because of a certain paint scheme, the league and/or driver will be notified.
